Dr Dominic VanOppen to guest lecture at NMMU Business School

30 September 2014 - NMMU Business School is looking forward to welcoming Dr Dominic VanOppen to the School on the 1st of October 2014. Dr VanOppen, originally from Belgium, will be lecturing to second-year MBA Part-Time students currently completing their Strategic Management Core Module.

Based in Germany, Dr VanOppen holds an Engineering degree and a PhD in Chemical and Biotechnological Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Since 2012, he holds the position of Senior Expert Economic Evaluations at BASF SE, Germany.

Dr VanOppen, a specialist in his field, has registered numerous patents, presented posters and keynote addresses at various international conferences and published articles in journals like Chemical Communications, Journal of Catalysis, Supramolecular Chemistry and Chemistry - a European Journal to name but a few.

He has further been recognised by the BASF for his work in 2009 when he was awarded the BASF Petrochemicals Technology Award for Optimization of BASF Ethylene Oxide Technology; and in 2006 by being awarded the BASF Special Award for Start-up of the Integrated Petrochemical Site in Nanjing, China.
