NMMU MBA Student wins "Most Innovative Business Plan" in IDC Business Plan Competition

Michael De LangeCongratulations to NMMU MBA student, and NMMU staff member, Michael De Lange, who recently won a R10 000 prize in the Industrial Development Corporation’s Business Plan Competition.

The IDC runs an annual business plan competition for business schools in South Africa. Michael was awarded the prize for his business plan submission for Twerly Street Lights which was nominated the MOST INNOVATIVE BUSINESS PLAN.

“My MBA has helped leverage my capabilities to think strategically by simplifying things, preparing for uncertainty, give influence and power through strong leadership capabilities and connect the unconnected. The combination of theory and the strong focus on practical case studies has helped me tremendously in my own career and in the development of the business plan,” says De Lange.
